Obama Assists American Disconnect on Memorial Day by Returning Home
A recent USA Today article discussed how there is a great disconnect between American families and military families on the holiday which should result in immense thankfulness to our nation’s soldiers. As it summarizes the issue with Paul Rieckhoff of the Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America stating “The average American family…goes to a barbecue (and) the average military family goes to a cemetery,” our current President’s recent actions did not help this issue.
Instead of standing by a time and leadership honored tradition, President Obama retorted with the same ignorance he shows the nation during regular days and decided to do what he wants instead of what is required of him. During the holiday weekend, he returned to his home state for Memorial Day leaving Vice President Joe Biden to take on the objective of changing the wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. It is now more obvious that America is being invaded from within. Not only does our current administration allow us to be verbally accosted by the president of the same nation that has threatened our security and economy in our legislative halls, the head of a Federal Agency is threatening to refuse to work with Arizona in registering and deport illegal aliens sent by the state because he “doesn’t like the law” they have a right to create and enforce. An official of the Immigration Customs Enforcement Agency, John Morton, is stating he may begin to ignore the state’s needs regarding illegal aliens if the border crossing criminal was taken into custody by Arizona within the statutes of the legislation.
First of all, there should not be any picking and choosing which illegal alien to be registered and deported nor should there be any line between who should be returned to their home country or not. Let’s face it. We are not safe. Not only do the people across our waters risk our lives but also the people within our own country. There are people who literally live day by day without being known. While the obvious reaction should be regulation and the enforcement of our already standing borders, we literally almost fight for this threat in response to every action against it.
Recently, Arizona has been receiving quite a bit of backlash over a bill called SB1070. It demands not only stronger enforcement on already set regulations regarding illegal aliens but also adds more of a restriction from people to call America home but not be accounted for by our identification systems. Pelosi Urges Churches To Press Against Arizona
It is no secret that, now with campaign season in full swing, time has run out when it comes to having any more liberal agenda items tear through our nation. As this and the fact that Democrats have a losing chance at continuing to hold on the states after November, Pelosi’s reaction has been to create and reign in troops who will do what the Democrats don’t have time to do.
Recently, she approached the Catholic Church through a speech to Nation’s Catholic Community conference for assistance in increasing the push against Arizona’s new law and for amnesty. Continuing to say reprieving illegal aliens for entering the country against our laws is a “Manifestation of our living the Gospels”, the manifestation she is looking for is that her and the Democrats have an easy November. Attempting to pass the unconstitutional torch to a collection of people who will not lose their jobs come Election Day, Pelosi is attempting to have her religious counterparts and constituents be her newest cronies for nothing other than the future of the party.
